Nice machines!!!

I'm borrowing my buddies Polaris 500 (Scrambler?) 4x4 and going to ride in a Poker run this weekend... I love riding 4-wheelers, but I just don't have enough time to ride that I could justify the expense of a bike and trailer...

Nice!

Is the Honda a 300 or 400? I can't tell from the picture. Nice choice with the Sportrax especially. After 10 yrs of owning or riding about every brand I really think Honda makes the most durable/dependable ATV on the market. You can't wear them out.

Now you need a trailer! Might as well get one big enough to haul a few extra machines in case a few pals wanna go ride!

BTW-you rarely see broken legs with atv wrecks. Usually you get a few cracked ribs, concussion and a shattered pelvis. But hardley ever broken legs. Just thougt I'd let you know....:lol:

It's a 300, they wouldn't come down in price on the 400, and I only bought it for friends to ride. I don't want to wrench on the one that I don't even ride, so I wanted to go with a more bulletproof sport for the "extra".....Hence buying the Honda.

I will probably wait until spring to buy a trailer, but yeah...I'll be getting one.

Leg breaks are pretty common on quads if the rider doesn't wear boots or use nerfs. I got them to throw in the nerfs and a helmet for each quad, and I already have the boots for me, so I should be safe there...As far as my hips go....I aint that old!!! I have done the rib thing a couple of times, and fractured my skull in two places once as well. But that's a different story, not related to riding ATVs.

This is the trailer I got. It is made by a guy out of Loveland CO specifically for ATV's. The ramps are built into the rails. one in back and one on the right side (behind the ATV).

Mine is a 2 machine trailer though he does make one for 3 machines (adds another side loading in back).

I love the Hondas. The d**n things are bullet proof. i had a Z-400 and it just didnt have enough giddy up and go. Handles great though. Now I have a DS650 Baja. This is one wicked machine. Almost to much for me. But its great fun on teh weekends.

I'm shocked they would not budge on the 400EX price being the TRX450R is coming out. I have a 400EX myself with a good bit of mods.... extremely reliable and hauls the mail pretty good.

One thing to keep an eye out for is that the front part of the Z400 frames are known to be a tad weaker than other sport quads. In the future I would recommend getting the frame gueseted (reinforce welds and angles).
