How are your leather seats holding up?

Recommended Posts

Hey. Looking at 6.2L Denali in a month or two. Compared to ford (limited) the seats in the Denali aren't that comfy.

Anyone with info want to share, did they get better or worse over time? Stay the same? Are you comfy in them for long rides?

I intend to borrow a truck for a day and see if I like the seats before purchasing, but thought u would ask for higher mileage experiences.

Thanks

I’ve had my RST with leather for 5 months now. About 4500 miles in the truck, or about an average of 30-40 min per day.

Recently, I’ve been noticing the seats feel more comfortable than ever. From what I’ve read, they are not as plush as F150 or Ram. I haven’t personally sat in either for 2019. But I have to say that I really love the support in my Silverado seats. Very comfortable, but I can also tell they are going to endure very well.

Mine seem to have softened a little bit in 7000 miles. But I was happy and comfortable from the start. Done a few 400+ mile jaunts without issue. No wear either. They shortened the bolsters and added the driver side grab handle so one is less inclined to drag their ass across the seat and wear it out.

Mine still looks good after 5,200 miles. Mine's an LTZ so Denali may be higher grade of leather? Took a minute to get used to as they are a bit stiffer

than my 2015 seats but they are comfy. Handle helps with drag and wear. If you have running boards, you should be fine. Take an extended test drive.

Some dealer will even let you keep it for a few days.

I've got 12000 miles on mine. They still look good. Showing no wear. Many 12 hour trips so far. Feel OK. Firmer than my 14 SLT. A little too firm, but they support well and no butt aches during extended drives.

I have a '19 High Country.

Mine are great. Very comfortable.  I have 15,000 miles on mine with three extended road trips from South Florida to North Carolina.

They seem to be wearing okay but I have made a conscious effort to lift my ass off the seat and not slide out of the truck.

I condition the leather every few weeks. I use Chemical Guys Quick Leather Detailer for quick wipe downs and use Wolfgang Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (2 products) for a more thorough cleaning/conditioning.

I have a high country with 18k miles since October and my seats are still great. This truck is more comfortable than any other truck I have ever road in. My wife has a 2015 Tahoe and we drive mine everywhere because it rides, drives, and sits better with more room inside the cab.

I average 800-1000 miles every week. To me every Silverado I have owned took a little while to soften up. Same with my 19LTZ, they are very comfortable and the only problem I have is when I eat a candy bar in the truck and a little chunk of chocolate drops on the seat without me knowing. My big butt then mashes it into the perforations and it is always fun cleaning them out.
