GMC Multpro tailgate - weathersealing

I have a trifold hard tonneau on mine and have yet to find water in the bed anywhere.  That includes rain, washing and power washing.  Factory seal is good.

I have a 19 Sierra SLT and my mulitipro tailgate does not have any type of seal around the tailgate from the factory.  Maybe GM omitted the seal on the SLT's?  Send me a photo.

No seal persay.  What I meant was other than the trifold and bed rug my truck is stock.  No issues with water leaking into the bed that I've found.  The cover has a nice drainage system that I believe takes car of that. Plus the rubber seals on the cover are pretty good. It is an undercover flex solid trifold.

I have a 2019 Sierra Denali with the Multipro tailgate and recently put an Undercover UltraFlex (hard tri-fold) tonneau cover on. My bed leaks at the interface between the main tailgate and the smaller tailgate. There is a sizeable gap there and without a cover, it isn't an issue. With the cover, it let's water in the bed on both side. It's very annoying. I am wondering if there is some kind of weatherstripping or rubber seal for this gap on the tailgate.

I've seen one of these multipro gates at my dealer but, don't remember it that well. It looks like there is no rubber seal around the upper gate section (yellow line). It looks like they rely on the lip of the lower gate section (red circle) to keep the water from getting into the bed.

I have a similar issue with my 2019 Sierra. There is quite a large gap between the two tailgates when closed. The rain runs to the back of the cover and along the top of the tailgate until it reaches the gap and then down inside the bed between the two tailgates. My 2016 always stayed bone dry in the bed. I miss that.

I know this is an old topic, but I'm surprised this isn't discussed more. I have a cap on my bed and need my bed to be dry. I haven't noticed if water gets in or not but at the proper angle, you can see right through the tailgate.
