Thoughts of 2020 Custom HD?

I purchased one and should have it home Saturday. I like the looks, but the only thing that annoys me is that it doesn't have audio controls on the steering wheel. Other then that, for what I need it for I think its a great package and a good price. What are your thoughts on the Custom?

I’ve been eyeballing the Custom truck trim, but I would miss the steering wheel controls. Had a Work Truck, and I found myself missing the steering wheel controls, and satellite radio, we can option in satellite radio, but no steering wheel controls, seems wonky.

I really like the looks of the Custom, but only 20 inch wheels, just enough little things that would aim me at an LT nicely optioned out, just me. Love the look of the he truck.

I haven't been looking, but I am in the other camp. Less controls on the steering wheel the better. But then, I hardly ever listen to the radio. Cruise control I can tolerate on the wheel. Everything else should reside on the dash. But that is just me. Even my semi truck has NO controls of any kind except the horn on the steering wheel. I like it.

Iam with ya on that, I have controls on my 2019 and never use them for the radio I always go for the radio buttons on the dash.

Just got the truck today, I love the exterior...however, the inside leaves a lot to be desired. Top 5 things I miss: steering wheel audio controls, center console does not open for storage inside, no usb sockets in the rear seating area, no fold down rear seat for middle arm rest with cup holders, and I hate the dash information screen, have to use a little lever to change screens. Not sure if I will keep truck too long, definitely should have got the LT.

Did you check the back of the steering wheel? My volume and radio controls are on the back side of the steering wheel in my 2020 AT4.

On the HD chev, work truck and custom do not have audio controls on steering wheel.

On HD gmc, base sierra does not have them, sle and above do.

Steering wheel cruise is available on work truck and base sierra. It is standard on the custom.

Its all minor things that I'm nit picking about, and I do think I will be fine without the stuff. I only plan to drive about 5K a year. If this was a daily driver, I would be more frustrated. Its just weird that it has remote start, but not some of the other stuff.

I’m with you on all the little things. Love the look of the truck, but all the stuff you don’t get, is what gets me.

'Remote start is an option on the 2020 HD custom.

The one option I really like is a power seat so it always limits me to mid-line and up. If I could get a 2020 Custom 6.6 gas with a power seat I'd have it today.

I just don't care for the look. But then, I even liked the look of my '98 2500 better than I do my '15 2500. But the new look really is a deal breaker for me. I am so glad that I only have just under 39K miles on my 2015. Will not have a need to buy a new 2500 for quite some time.
