v805.1 infotainment update

Recommended Posts

Built-in nav (on all vehicle's I've had) is far better integrated (displays, instructions, etc.); doesn't use cell phone data plan (I'm not on an unlimited plan); is certainly more reliable if not in an area with good cell phone signal / reception (still works regardless), and no concern w/r/t draining phone battery (if I don't have a charger with me).

In all, still very relevant, and it's driving me crazy that I SOUGHT OUT and PAID FOR a truck with same, but haven't been able to properly / reliably use same since a completely unnecessary software update (nothing wrong prior to update!).

For those of you who've had the SD Card error problem, can you please provide updates as to what progress you've made? What have you done to try to fix? What has Chevrolet / GM done? What navigation version are you on? Are you still having problems, or have you found a solution?

Really starting to lose patience now. :(

Thank you.

I got the V807 update a few days ago I believe it was Wednesday or Thursday. I’ve driven the truck a few days now and today (Saturday) I was driving and all of a sudden my infotainment system and my small screen on my instrument panel for no reason restarted while driving. I was not touching the system at all just driving. It looked like it restarted similar to if I had turned the truck off and turned it back on. Everything worked fine during the shut off and it came back on fast but then said no gps and did not have the outside temp. I got to my destination and it was parked for about an hour and no issues on the way home. It was just very strange. I have no idea why it restarted. It’s been a few days since the V807 update and this was not my first trip since the update. If it keeps acting strange I will take it to the dealer.

I am STILL on 509 and it STILL says no updates. Dealer simply hit the check for updates and when it said No updates available told me there's no updates for my radio. Called Chevy and well, I will never get that 1.5 hours back. The last person I talked to said to check with my dealer....

I had NAV added after I bought it and wonder if that is causing the issue.
