TIMAYZ is absolutely correct!! It is an IEC PAL DVB European connector. You can buy adapters off Amazon to adapt the plug on the bumper connection to either F style or BNC, search amazon. I confirmed this today and it fits perfect with this adapter :

uxcell 2pcs Antenna CATV TV FM PAL Female to F Female Jack RF Coax Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0084CCDWE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_zqiVEbGG4ZTNS

I could not get a PAL connector to fit (male PAL to the Auxiliary Camera Connector).  A male PAL connector measures 9.3 mm on the outside and the Auxiliary Camera Connector measures 8.7 mm on the inside. I could force the PAL connector into the Camera Connector, but it doesn't seat all the way.

I think that the Auxiliary Camera Connector that goes into the truck is a Reverse Polarity TNC (TNC-RP or RP-TNC) connector but customized without the screw-on outer shield. The plastic outer connector replaces the screw-on shield so that you can easily push/pull the connector from the truck connector.

RUNNING THE CABLE INFO

When running the camera cable if you remove the 2 Torque Screws on the camera unit itself the housing splits and you can unplug the cable from the actual camera then you only need to drill a 1/2 inch hole for the cable. Hope this helps

I have seen three different types of connectors listed here and all three posters claim they verified that they fit. All three look completely different from one another and none of them look like the factory end. Which one is correct?

 F Female Jack RF Coax?

TNC-RP or RP-TNC?

Fakra Z?

Or do any of them even work?

Zombie topic, I know. The orange connector that feeds the trailer camera plug plate is a FAKRA Type M female connector. So, a FAKRA Type M (orange) male with RG58 coax extension ending in a FAKRA Type A (black) female plug will connect directly to the camera module (85573256 used in 2024's for example). It's a locking connection at both ends but unsure how waterproof. Probably good if GM uses behind the bumper tho.

I looked under my truck today.

The camera cable is RG-58, 50 ohm coax.

If I had damage to the connector I would just replace it with a compression F connector. Direct TV uses these outdoors in all US climate zones.

Put in a splitter and you can have jacks for your 5th wheel and on your bumper. I would cut off the camera plug and replace wi a F connector as well.

After looking again, on the above hitch receptacle, the invisible trailer side is a A code FAKRA and the accessory side is the M code FAKRA connector.

Not sure if you were able to get this resolved already but I spoke with Paul at Max-Gains Systems, Inc out in Georgia and he was very knowledgeable. I had a similar issue with the main coaxial cable connector having to be replaced and he suggested buying these 3 pieces to create a new piece which will allow you to connect the coaxial cable end and the auxiliary connector near the trucks 7 pin so you can utilize your trailer’s camera/invisible camera set-up. I just ordered the parts today and he said this would solve my issue, so I’m taking his word and giving it a shot once those pieces come in. He also suggested using electrical tape once all those 3 pieces are connected together, so it looks like one solid piece.  Hopefully this helps out anyone out there experiencing a similar issue.
