The 19 is just fine. All they need to do is add adjustable pedals and seatbelt and call it a day

I agree.

And, imho, this is the best looking Silverado ever made.  I get a lot of compliments on mine.

I find the passion over the '19 interior entertaining.  I personally think the 14-18 is the best looking interior of all pickup trucks over the past 50 years and the 19 is even better!  I would like to see a drawing of a "nice" interior from those opposed to the new GM interior.  I'm sure they'd be surprised to find that they can't do better than the design team at GM.  (I appreciate that we can make tweaks that may improve our individual tastes but will not necessarily be seen as an improvement or make economic sense to others.)

Its funny to read reviews by Motor Trend / Car and Driver etc.   they have to find something to complain about so they pick on the interior, which admittedly has lower grade materials perhaps than RAM or Ford, but it's a truck!!  I don' care if you buy a High Country and want all the comforts that's fine, but start complaining about how low grade it is, then just get rid of it and buy Daimler or BMW, you probably don't need a truck anyway if you're that high maintenance.   Just hire out whatever you would need a truck for LOL

Personally I love the interior, its got great features even in a base LT and plenty comfortable.  Not to mention as a whole, the 2019 T1's drive so much better than the K2's.  The handling is better, less weight, and don't even get me started how much better the 8-speed improvements are than the old 8-speed or 6-speed.  I had a 2017 crew cab LT and my new one is infinitely better.

Few of the reviewers are honest enough to say that the difference in quality of interior materials isn't apparent until you get into the highest trim levels. I wanted a work truck, and at this level the GM wins, IMHO. My only complaint is where some features that come standard in the competition are lacking in the GMs, but when I'm being honest, I don't believe I'll miss them anyway. Of the the base level trucks I tested, the GM trucks drive better, are quieter, and the base V6 has equal or greater torque down low where it matters. Plus I think the Silverado looks better in Custom trim.

Couple all that with the smokin' mid-year incentives, and you have a winner. I'm just bummed I have to wait until Thursday to take delivery.

Compliments from who? When I talk to neighbors and friends I know they tell me the GM trucks are plain ugly.I'm not trying to start an argument, just stating a fact.Even when I go to the Dealership the service advisor tell me how ugly the new trucks are.

100% the opposite of my experience owning my RST.

Neighbors, friends, relatives, total strangers.

I love my 19 interior. Coming from a 13. Everything is right there and  easily accessible. More like a cockpit.

To be fair I have a 6.2 max tow with 10-speed tranny so it would be hard for me find fault as much as I enjoy the drive train which is what I built the vehicle around.

I doubt anyone would be hating on the interior as much if GM didn't take away the adjustable seat belts, sunglass holder, etc. They kind of shot themselves in the foot with some of the de-contenting.

Because, realistically, the interior is good at the LT level, and pretty much equivalent to other brands in the mid range. I think the major failing of the high country interior is that you can't just switch a few things to orange leather, add a few badges, and expect people to believe it is somehow way different than an LT interior. It's not.

For me personally, there is nothing wrong with the LT interior, at all. But I'm an LT buyer.

In fact just yesterday i was looking at the dash material of my K2 and thinking "they got this exactly right." It's matte black, not too shiny, not too dull, easy to clean, nothing sticks to it, and looks as new as the day I drove it off the lot. It's a good material. But in the hands of "critics" it becomes this talking point about how it's "cheap black plastic".

Well, yeah. That's what you want it to be.

My guess is that high country buyers who use their truck as a truck like it just fine.

City-ish suit wearing people not so much.

If you don't own one they are ugly.

If you do then they are the best looking trucks out there.

I don't own one . I think they are hideous. High Country is the best looking but also the most expensive

I own 2 - 2018 LT's and think they look better than a 2019 LT so there you go.

I could care less about Dodge lol.

And, honestly I have never liked any Dodge interior.

But man oh man, did they ever nail the 2019 Silverado and Sierra.

Such a beautiful truck.

Dont get me wrong though, I have nothing against a Dodge. Or especially anyone loving theirs. I imagine they see what I see in my Silverado.
