Tailgate Switch on all times

Hello, 

 

I want to have the tailgate switch inside the truck to be live all the time. There has been a bunch of times that i wanted to lower the tailgate to allow stuff to be thrown in the back but i have to put it in park then press the button then throw it back in reverse or drive, is there any setting that will allow that? I would hope that they would do a software update that you can have it be if your under 10mph you can lower the tailgate.

I doubt they will ever offer a software update to allow this due to the obvious liability.  You could however, just wire it to a + tap in the fuse block.

Never gonna be an option, but like mentioned all things are possible.
