My 02 2500HD crew 4.10 geared beast got 11.5 ave.Now my 03 1500HD crew 3.73 gets a whooping 12.0 ave.

You don't mention if that's loaded or empty. My 03 2500HD ext-cab gets 20MPG empty and 12.5MPG pulling a 4-ton 5th wheel. If you're getting that mileage empty, then something is farkled up.

What you will save in milage, isnt worth the $$$$$ spent on a gear swap. if anything, talk to Lyndon at Westers Garage and get a 87 Octane Maximun Economy tune. You will pick up 4-5 mpg for $500.

4-5 MPG?? With the webster... That seems a little high to me.. I thought it was more like maybe 1-2 mpg... Has anyone put one of these in their 6.0 yet? I am thinking of doing it this coming spring with the tax return... :D

Yeah. I did. That is why I am posting those numbers. Got questions...ask away. I was getting 10-11 at best before the tune. I ordered the MAX hp tune. NOT the economy tune. I am getting a average of 14-14.5 now.

The average MPG for a 6,0 is 10-12. If anyone is getting 18-20 is a odd ball. Not saying it cant happen, just not normal. I didnt buy a truck for mileage. I bought it to drive. And drive I do.

If you get the economy 87 Octane tune, I would not be surprised if you get 17-18 mpg. I really cant say for sure. I just know that with MAX hp tune and 93 Octane, I got antoher 3-4 mpg. Remeber, no matter which one you get, your still going to get a huge performance gain!
