fox 2.5 and 35’s installation help

Recommended Posts

Im going to be installing fox 2.5 coilovers on my 2017 Silverado 4wd along with 35’s. I already know Im going to have rubbing issues Ill have to address. That being said, what exactly do I need to trim and also is a bumpstop necessary I feel like at full compression the tires will rub or damage something. Thanks in advance.

Extended length or stock length? Usually the extended length require a new upper control arm to fix the ball joint angle. For 35"s you will probably need to norcal mod the fenders. Means trimming to add clearance. I had to on 33"s with a positive offset. What wheel offset are you running?

That is a lot of tire for no lift. can be done but you will need to cut metal to do it unless you like rubbing. Not that big of deal. You already spent the money to make it cool now follow through and mod as necessary to make it work. Will not bolt up and be ok as is. Once the suspension cycles through the travel you will see, defeats the purpose of having good shocks. Bump stops will not fix it either, unless you want to limit it to like 2" of wheel travel.

To do it right with a 35' and no lift I would norcal and do like a 2" differential drop with new quality upper control arms then you can use all the shock.  Thing is for clearance you need to pretty much cut as much as you can until you don't rub through the entire movement of wheel travel. Doing much less is kinda micky mouse set up.
