My search for the best Mother effin Hitch so we can avoid Tailgate damage

Damn... that looks like a solid product...  so it just swings out to the edge of the bed for easy access?  You like it?

I love it. That's where all my tie-downs and various junk lives to keep it from rolling around. I was going to get two (one for each side), but I was able to fit everything I wanted in one.

You can open it while stowed inside the bed, or swing it out to access it from the tailgate with your tonneau cover closed.

The other nice thing is it easily lifts off the hinge if you want it out of the way for cleaning or to put something really wide in the bed.

Well said... I can’t argue with that.

Well now I feel like dick head when you make that point.

No need to feel this way.  You asked a good question and received some ideas/solutions based on the experiences of others!

It’s good to have some heated discussion with valid points... there’s a wealth of knowledge on this forum... amazing resource to have.

At the end of the day... where all here because we’re love trucks. Your average joe doesn’t go on the forums and do the research most of us do.

Ah man that sucks

What brand?

I’ve had nothing but luck with B&W....

Here’s my last hitch that was in my SRT Jeep for 3 years - tons of salt in my area..

Im working with B&W

they are aware of the issue and looking into a tighter pin hole that would bring the entire hitch tighter with the frame.

more to come

Sorry didn’t mean to be a dick earlier. Trucks get me fired up!

Keep us posted if BW comes up with something i would be a buyer for sure. I came close to buy the same hitch you did just wasn’t sure it worked.

Will do brother !

Besides the clearance stuff, the hitch in general is just really well made and clean looking.

It’s the only hitch I’ve owned that doesn’t oxidize and look like crap after 6 months.

i had the swing cases on my 2015...biggest issue i remember is that they block the bed lights...also if u had a cover on the bed the cases didnt swing out enough to clear the cover. they are great and the ease of removing them was nice but it also meant if for some reason my cover was rolled out and secured they were open to theft unless they were locked. the cases were a nice option for things like rope and straps but they they did have their hinderances at times as i mentioned. i did not get them for my 2019 as i find the truck hs plenty of other areas to store the same items like under the rear set and inside the rear seat storages areas.

Go to YouTube and look up Cody Reed Tailgate fix. There is a product to prevent the gate from hitting the hitch

Geez.  Another post where you don't say it's your product that you are pushing.  Maybe you shouldn't be in business if you have to blatantly lie about the product you make.
