Well, it's for a 3 year guarantee and I'm also adding the window protection. Gonna be right at a $1,000

Got the tailgate lettering on today. I like it.

Looks good, love the color. It was my first choice but couldn’t find one in the configuration I needed.

Thank you.

I really liked the Cajun Red Tincoat too.

But, I've been in dark red/maroon Silverado for the last 7 years. I'm really happy with the NorthSky Blue.

Btw, what color did ya opt for?

I was about to give up and just order a truck until I found one nearby that was exactly what I was building online for months, only in black instead of the blue I originally was after.

7 months later, I’m still in love with it, even though it’s hard to keep black looking clean. That said, my Stone Blue 2016 did show a lot of dust too. Almost have to get white to avoid that.

I just love the dark colors mixed with the chrome, it’s very sharp. The blue and the black both pull it off well on these trucks.

There's prolly not a prettier color than Black, when real clean and shiny. Especially with chrome accents like you said.

I'm hoping this ceramic coating will help keep her clean. This dark blue is as about as bad as black to show dirt.

From what I understand, everyone that has had their vehicle done by this guy has been really happy.

I tell ya though, I'm like you. I love this truck!

Grant it, I just bought her a month ago, I cant explain to people just how fun she is to drive...

The new DFM 5.3 is a real sweet engine. I'm amazed at how smooth DFM is compared to AFM. The 5.3 matched up to the 8-speed is a real fast truck too. Even better if you have the sport mode knob. Glad to hear you're enjoying your truck!

What is "sport mode knob"?

Drive mode selector knob on the upper left above the 4WD switches. Changes between tow/haul, touring (default), sport and off road modes.

In sport mode and off road mode does it hold the gear longer before shifting?

Yes in sport mode. I would assume the same in off road but to be honest I’ve never used it.

I should note that not all trucks get off road mode, as far as I know you need to have the uplevel cluster. Otherwise it’s just tow/haul when you turn it one way and sport the other.

Ya know, I have yet to try mine in sport mode

I may do that tomorrow.

I really like the downhill assist on mine. Works damn good.

Sport mode is okay but I don’t use it much. The shift points/ gear holding is a little annoying just “putting around” town, but I do really like how it firms up the steering.

In a perfect world I’d take the transmission tuning from the tour mode and the less overboosted steering feel from the sport mode, and make my own mode.

I did for the hell of it try off-road mode on the way home just now. It decreases throttle / pedal response quite a bit at low speed. I guess that would be good for rock crawling or navigating a tight trail, but normal driving it’s pretty useless.
