Couldn't be happier w/LT Z71 5.3

Lol, sometimes it just feels surreal having a new Silverado. I really didnt think I would ever own a brand new one.

777 miles in this pic. I have just a little over 800 now.

This tank I'm averaging 20.4 mpg

The most I ever got out of a tank mileage wise in my 07 Classic was 400 miles or just a hair over before I had to refuel. Right now, I'm well past the 400 mile mark. ( on this tank of fuel )

Pretty good! My MPG average has gone from high 17s for mostly in town driving when I first got the truck to low 16s and high 15s. 

 

I think I’m just driving more aggressively lately, because the truck is fun to drive, ha!

Just added the Z71 Grille Emblem. What do yall think?

Was very easy to install. Didnt have to take anything apart.  Looks like Chevy would have these on all Z71 models. Glad I got it though.

Its OEM from GM $68 shipped

It came from Abernathy Chevrolet in Lincolnton,NC

Got it off of Ebay.

So, I filled up today for the 2nd time in the trucks life. I went 451 miles with prolly 50 miles left!

The most I ever went in my 07 Classic was 400 or a hair over. The last tank mpg wound up being about 21 mpg!

So, just ordered some 5" Nerf Boards. They are Ionic brand. I'll post some pics when installed.

The new DFM 5.3 is a real sweet engine. I'm amazed at how smooth DFM is compared to AFM. The 5.3 matched up to the 8-speed is a real fast truck too. Even better if you have the sport mode knob. Glad to hear you're enjoying your truck!

Also these ecotec motors break in very well. You think it's smooth and quick now? Wait until around 12,000-15,000 miles, the engines really wake up.

Also gonna get the window protection too.

Well, tomorrow I drop her off to be detailed and ceramic coated.  Also gonna put the Chrome Lettering on the tailgate. I think Chrome goes really well with the NorthSky Blue. 

Also have some 5" Nerf Bars coming in Thursday.

I'll do some before and after pics.

How much are they charging you for the detail/ceramic coat. I’m really consider doing it because my truck is black
