Is the audio issue resolved? If so, were you able to trace the connector's location?

My audio is back to true uninterrupted sound again. I have not been back to the dealership to find out what the connector they fixed was but it was definitely the culprit that has caused me grief over the last 3 years. I know they told me initially what it was but I do not know enough about the electrical system to really understand. I just know the connector was bent and changes in the temperature would allow it to temporarily expand enough to lose connection and thus no sound.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad it's working for you.

I had the same issues, first the dealer "fixed" the wiring, then replaced the AMP and said I had a rear window water leak, then replaced the head unit after doing "diagnostics" for over a week driving my truck for hundreds of miles for some reason in the process.  None of these fixes actually fixed anything.

I found my issue at an audio component just above the passenger side kick panel. While the head unit was playing audio I reached up and wiggled the connectors untill I started to have the audio cut in and out. Pulled that connector and tweaked the pins with a small pick and reinstalled.  Boom... No more audio issues.

Really hoping you have got us all an answer to the connector they replaced.  Been having this same issues going on 4 years now.  Any updates?  Or have the dealers # so we can call and ask...

I asked my dealer what the name of the piece was. They said it was a wire harness connector (and they called it an Ethernet connector) beneath the glove box on the passenger side. The male pins were getting bent by the female receiver and once they replaced the female part, smooth sailing ever since. Hope this helps! Cheers.

Awesome thank you sooo much.  I'm going to give this a shot.
