That is the old part number I believe.  Check out the link earlier in this post for a link to the camera.

Will this work on a 2020 GMC 3500 Sierra Denali?  I have the Ultimate package with the Z82-Trailering Package.  I am looking to put a camera in our horse trailer and also in the rear of the trailer.

My 2020 Chevy 2500HD LTZ did not come with TPM sensors.  Part # 84338125.  Cost is $150 for 2 sensors.  I found these sensors on eBay for $60 for 2 sensors.  So I ordered 4 sensors and received Part  # 84152501.  Bought new tires (GoodYear Endurance) at Discount and had the new sensors installed.  Came home and put wheels on trailer and tried to learn the sensors with no luck.  Either by a learning tool (not a GM tool) or by lowering the tire pressure.  At least the horn never honked.  I contacted the seller on eBay and he assured me that the substitute sensor was exactly like the one I ordered.  Any thoughts on what to do next?  Thanks for any help.

My horn never honks either.  What you need to do is start the learning process on the trucks screen.  Then go to the left front tire and let air out until the screen acknowledges up in the cab.  It helps to have another person sit up in the cab and tell you when it goes green.  Then you move on to the next tire in the order the screen tells you.

If you do all of this and it still won't acknowledge after letting 10-15PSI out of the tire, you truck is either too far from your sensors or there is something wrong with either the sensor batteries or their compatibility.  I did this with my truck hooked up to my 40 foot 5th wheel and had no issues with that distance.  Good luck!

Even though the horn didn't honk, you would have seen a successful learn on any one tire by a green check mark beside that wheel on the infotainment screen.  If you never got that then none were trained.  I'm reading that there are a lot of counterfeit auto parts being sold on ebay these days.  So many, that I've decided not to buy auto parts from that source.  Counterfeit parts come in OEM lookalike packaging that is hard to tell as non-genuine even by knowledgeable persons.  That's not to say yours aren't legitimate GM sensors but there is a chance that they are not genuine and may never work.  It can be one of those "You get what you get what you pay for" kind of things.

That said, it could be helpful to drive the outfit ten or fifteen miles before trying to learn the sensors again.  Driving can sometimes wake-up a sensor that has gone to sleep.  Then retry the process.  If none will train after that, I'd try asking the vendor to take them back for a full refund.  You have a very good case if the parts aren't what you ordered and they don't work.  Ebay is pretty good about ensuring buyers have a good experience on that site.

Good luck with it!

My only suggestion would be to quit buying on Ebay and start buying from GM. I paid more, sure, but I got mine directly from AND installed by GM - so if I have a problem - its fixed for free. More money - less hassle.  When you buy a truck that stickers at over 80K, you dont sweat saving 60 bucks on sensors.

I just went thru the same experience as you. eBay and all. I was fortunate to have tested the sensors before instal and had them synced from the cab when I got them. The mistake I made is assuming they would learn again once installed to a new trailer profile. No luck with air reduction or spinning tire with tool.  I went to the old profile and drove about a mile before they all were operating. Now I just need to identify which wheel is which location and move them.
my suggestion would be to drive several miles try again. Mine were definitely sleeping until driven.

Thanks!  This is about to drive me nuts!  I hooked up the trailer again to try re-doing what I'd already tried and got a message "Service Trailer Tire Monitoring System"  So I can't get into the Setup feature now.  Owners Manual says "Take it to the dealer" I've tried everything I can think of to reset the Setup procedure but no luck.

doesn't seem anybody answered your question. Yes, you have all the right things for this to work.

Try deleting that trailer profile.

Reconnect the trailer and create another with a different name.

After you get everything working with the new name you can rename it.

I had the same problem and this procedure worked for me.

Thanks!  This forum is really helpful  I did everything you said and got the sensors learned.  Only problem was that the horn never honked at any time during the process.  I'm thinking because I had the driver door open??

Great!

Glad to hear it worked for you as well.

The horn doesn’t honk and the lights don’t flash for me either.

When I install my Toy hauler sensors I will try with the drivers door shut as I’m pretty sure I left mine open with both trailers I’ve set up.

Good Luck!  Let us know if that works.  If so, the instructions on set up should definitely state that the doors should be shut.  I think this was my problem from the start.  I was listening for the horn beep and spent all the time trying to get horn verification when the 2 minute time ran out on the first wheel and then the system malfunction warning came on.

According to GM ordering guide, you need to order the sensors with the truck, if you didn't, the signal repeater (installed behind the rear license plate) will not be there - means no horn, and potential connectivity issues. see below

PTT:

Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors, includes set of 4 sensors. Sensor functionality requires (U1D) In-vehicle Trailering App to be ordered with the vehicle and installed by the factory. Sensors will be shipped loose with the truck and will need to be installed on trailer by customer.

U1D:

In-vehicle Trailering App, System, includes checklist, trailer maintenance reminders, trailer security alerts, trailer mileage, tow/haul reminder, trailer electrical diagnostics and Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System module

1 - Included and only available with (ZL6) ProGrade Trailering System or with (PDQ) Preferred Package. Includes trailer tire pressure monitoring alert ONLY when (PTT) trailer tire pressure monitor system is factory ordered and sensors are installed

2 - Includes trailer tire pressure monitoring alert ONLY when (PTT) trailer tire pressure monitor system is factory ordered and sensors are installed. With (ZW9) pickup bed delete no provision for a trailer tire pressure monitor system will exist but all the other (U1D) features will remain.

3 - Includes trailer tire pressure monitoring alert ONLY when (PTT) trailer tire pressure monitor system is factory ordered and sensors are installed

You are correct that you need U1D, but any 433 sensors will work if you have the U1D module. I used older GM sensors I got off ebay since my truck wasnt ordered with PTT

That's exactly what I'm referring to - the side notes mention it - if your truck was ordered with U1D but without PTT - it will NOT have the repeater
