Well, I'm selling a non-running project that I will never get to, planning to convert that cash into a running/driving toy. I'm fairly set on either a k30 CUCV or a 1st Gen Dodge Cummin (1989 to 1993).

I understand the majority of the CUCV driver train (NA Detroit powerplant, auto trans [th400?], chain drive tcase, corp14/Dana60).

What are the inherent weaknesses of that platform? Obviously finding one rust free may present a problem in Pennsylvania, isn't there a "black box" and glow plugs on the Detroit that cause grief?

I guess the other question would be driveability? 4.56s, a non-OD trans, and a diesel may not allow much road speed?

The only CUCVs I found must have been gold plated...bought this truck with no rust for almost half of what the CUCVs with rust were going for in this area, and that was a lucky buy as the 1st gen Dodge trucks are starting to get expensive.

So new toy to play with!ca3c49d184a7dbaf89a300dec212a3fc.jpg
