2014 Sierra crew cab rear door handle

Recommended Posts

I bought this truck a few months ago. Seems they did not put a screw in on the rear door handle to keep it from falling off. Which it did. I ordere the handle housing that has the screw and nut. Ordered new door handle. The issue is the screw won’t tighten up. I also don’t know how to install the nut for the screw. Does anyone know how to install the nut? Thanks

Thanks. I figured it out yesterday. I looked at my other door to see where the nut was. You have to loosen the door handle housing then put the nut in place and screw in.

You are very welcome.

I know this post is old, but if anyone can help with a part number to the square nut in the picture above and also instructions on how to install the square nut. I purchased color matched door handles and the rear handles the nut fell while installing. I was able to locate one of the nuts but can not figure out how to re-install.
