2014 GMC Sierra 5.3 Fuel Injector Grounding

Recommended Posts

I was on my way to work and had a flashing engine light and Stabilitrac light come on. This threw a P0300  code which everyone knows is a "Random Misfire". Upon further examination it was determined that my fuel injectors had gone to ground causing damage to the computer. This in turn caused the injectors to open fully, thus causing raw fuel from the tail pipe, fuel in the oil ETC. I was told there is a bulletin concerning faulty injectors which recommends replacing the injectors @80,000 miles. I am currently on a "Waiting List" for the new and "improved" injectors and will not know the extent of damage if any , to my O2 sensors and my converters. So far I am $2,326.20 into this repair. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is there any recourse with G.M. ?{SILLY QUESTION}
