Brand new mirror won't fold all the way??

Gents,

 

I have 2 trucks: 2008 Avalanche and a Tahoe. Both had the power fold mirror option. Our garage is quite narrow, you need to fold both mirrors to get them rigs in. My wife managed to break both right door mirrors in 2 weeks time...AAAAA

 

So I bought 3 mirrors in total: 2 OEM ones, and one aftermarket. The all share the same issue: they won't completely fold in all the way as the old ones did! It is hard to fit the cars with the mirrors folded, but now it is just not possible even with them mirrors folded.

 

I have never ever heard of anyone having this issue...dig up the whole internet. Parts dealers won't buy them back as they are working. But that missing few inches of travel distances makes them useless.

 

Anybody has any idea what should I do?

 

Attached is my old mirror backside...used the codes to order the correct mirror from a gm parts site.
