When will they hit the dealer lots????

Recommended Posts

I'm really wanting to see one in person, any idea when they will start getting to the dealers??  My 2002 1500hd with the 6.0 has been great, but at 230k miles, I'm getting a little nervous that she's gonna get tired of pulling the camper and die on the road :)

I've read that they should be arriving at the dealer's this week. I'm sure they'll move them quick but I'm more curious about build time and what that looks like right now. Probably won't know for a few months until those orders start being delivered

I am checking the status of mine everyday ~ built on 3 June, just released to carrier a few day ago. I will post photos and let all know when I take delivery ~ to help gauge your order timelines.

New to this forum but not GM's.  I have a 17 Ford F350 dually right now which replaced a GMC Duramax dually.  I like the Ford but I liked my GM's better so have been closely following the info on the new 2020 HD's.  My need for a big truck is to pull our fifth wheel.  The only reason I pull it with a dually is because I could not find a well equipped diesel one ton (Denali or King Ranch) in a single rear wheel with enough payload capacity for the hitch weight of my fifth wheel plus my wife and I, our hitch, a 25 gallon transfer tank and one fat Boston Terrier.  I am well within the specs for an srw in all areas except the payload.  I would love to go back to a single rear wheel as most of the time the truck is my daily driver and I really don't like driving a dually.  I saw that GM had increased the GVWR from 11,500 to 12,100 or 12,250, not sure which, for the srw 3500's.  Thus my interest.

Now to relate to this post.  I went to a large GMC dealer today to get more information.  The salesman did not have a clue what I was asking and directed me to his in stock 2019's and said he would get me the numbers on those trucks.  I said no, I want to know if you have a 2020 coming in the next few weeks that I could see.  He went to his sales manger who said they have nothing on the new trucks and could not order any until August.  I didn't argue and just left.

I saw two GMC HDs on a closed transport in Vail Colorado today. I pulled over and was about to snap a pic and the guy shut the doors. I asked what they were for and he just said sorry. Looked like they just finished up some kind of GMC event. One was a Denali and the other was an AT4. Ive been planning on a Silverado all along but that AT4 looks amazing in person.

I bet those were the ones that TFL Truck gave a sneak peak at on their youtube channel the other day.  They mentioned when you should see them at the dealers in the video.  Don't remember.

He said August/September at the end of the video.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just looked on Autotrader Mtn. View Chevrolet in Chattanooga, TN has a White 2500 LT Z71.

So they are on the ground so to speak. Biggest thing I wasn't to crazy about was the wheels on the truck.

I drove by the Flint GM plant last weekend and there hundreds if not thousands of them on the lot. I saw them driving on the highway so was not able to snap a picture but I couldn’t believe how many there were. Excited to see one close up even though I just bought a 2019 F250

Here a some pics from google maps, thought it was pretty cool:
