Center stack blank switches

Recommended Posts

Pop the cover and look behind and see if there's wiring or if you can look from below the dash. Also if they switch on you could always see if there's a fuse that removes power. IF that's the case then you most likely have a live switch.

One other option would be to remove the dash cover over the area where the switches are then remove the panel that would either be screwed or clipped into to the dash in some way or another.

One thing you could do is search google for how to remove the dash cover on your year model vehicle and you'll probably find someone has did it.

If you look at the TRL Autostop override  instructions its involved to access those switches.

And usually those switches are blank and non functional... if they are wires they go to the BCM and use is not too convienent...

They are not functional just molded plastic to look like a switch.

I think I’ll be mounting switches in that space one day though. The entire switch assembly comes out as a unit. If I ever do a behind the grill light bar I’ll be doing something in that space.

Now, i do not know what the cost is but you can maybe buy a highend models and just rewire the switch to do the light bar. I wish that chevy comes out wih a switch pannel where you can replace the switches and have extra.
