Yeah same here. 9k for a lift kit and some mods. I think you can get a lift and lots of mods for 9k. And I have to agree with you. HC is not targeting the younger guys. The one that I some what regret not getting is the RST. But they were about 3k more here and not a single option aside of the exterior look I wanted

I went in wanting paint matched bumpers but that quickly became a lower prority.  My plan was going to be to get the chrome wrapped or painted ASAP.  But it has kind of grown on me.  I wasn't a fan of the front in at first but again it has grown on me and I'm starting to like it more.

I'm sorry, I don't know what that phrase means.

You will learn it quickly if gas was $4.39 a gallon like here in California for example... :)

Going up nineteen cents a gallon first of July in Illinois due to new State Gas Tax taking effect.

Ahhh California!

Land of Mudslides, earthquakes, forest fires, and homeless people living on the streets. Now crazy gas prices, crazy gun laws , and a crazy Gov.

Not much better here in NY and NJ, but at least gas prices aren't out of control.

Announced just today: free medical care for illegal immigrants. Not kidding. God, I wish I was kidding. I'm so pissed.

RST 5.3 with 22" wheels averaging 13.1 in city and 26ish hwy. With the hot and humid La. climate and A/C on, auto stop rarely comes on. I have my fuel economy set on 25 miles. I think default is 50.

I’m right around 13-14 with the 6.2. But I do a lot of really really short trips throughout the day which seems to kill it. In a more true “mixed” environment, I see 17-18. Highway around 20-22 depending on speeds. All time best for the 25 mile loop on the DIC is 23.9, but I’ve only done about 5000 miles and none of them were in an area I would expect great efficiency.

I don't really differentiate city/highway mileage. I live in rural Texas and I probably average 80% highway. Overall I'm around 18.8 mpg the past 7000 miles. It's not unusual to set my cruise at 80+ mph on the interstate here in Tx. On a recent trip to San Antonio we traveled nearly 30 miles with a group of vehicles that were running a steady 94 mph.

I know no one will care but I've ridden the entire US and parts of Canada/Mexico by motorcycle and seen groups of vehicles running in packs at speeds like this. It gets ugly fast when the first person flinches. There is no recovery at that speed no matter how many wheels you have under you. Saw a fella, I think it was a fella, take a face plant at about 100 mph on I-10 coming into El Paso. Would have been bad enough if he would have been alone but by the time the cars and trucks got done with him and his bike you could have picked up what was left with a teaspoon and a matchbox. At those speeds it's like fishing with dynamite.

You speak the truth. I try to hang back in the pack enough to give myself a bit of reaction time. Traveled I-10 from Houston to Lafayette, La for 20+ years for work, pretty much always running 80+. Maybe I've been lucky but I've been high speed traveling for 35 years without any accidents and very, very few speeding tickets.. This Denali has a sweet spot at 88 where it all seems to synch up and get happy.

Six times a year I travel back and forth from Texas to South Carolina. The speeds have really gotten high. I drive usually 72-74. That gets me passed more than I’m passing. I’m an active driver. If I see a pack coming and a passing event for me. I’ll speed up to pass so I don’t have to slow them down. Or slow down myself. I don’t relax driving, but I do enjoy driving. I definitely avoid packs. The worst times overall I’ve seen are rush hours. I definitely avoid the night ones.
