There is no way to replace your antenna with something shorter without sacrificing reception.

Yes, there are cars out there with little AM/FM antennas from the factory, but they have a pre-amplifier to increase the gain so that they work as if they are a longer antenna.

Your truck has no such device, and a short antenna will not work as well.
