2018 Silverado Paint

My 2018 Graphite Metallic gets a new chip every time I drive it. I was touching them up with a paint pen but gave up. I have had it for 8 months and put 26k miles on mostly on a 4 lane road with very little traffic. Definitely the worst paint of any vehicle I have owned and I buy a new one every other year or sooner.

I have a 2015 that I purchased used, however I have owned it for nearly two years now. There are a few chips here and there but nothing substantial. I am pretty meticulous about maintaining my vehicles. Wash every few weeks and waxes every other wash and once to twice a year I use a clay bar. The wax I use has a UV protection mixed in with it. I know vehicles fade over time, should it be only a few years? No, but environmental factors do play a factor. My Wrangler had some pretty sub par paint quality. Swirl marks right off the factory line and you could feel the unevenness.
