Io4 upgrade?

I have a io4 2014 GMC 1500, bought a io5 hmi and 8" screen, had it re vin'd at the dealer but the screen is blank and doesn't work.   The tech tried the screen in another truck and it worked.  This was the first time the tech has tried this, did he miss something or did I?  Is it correct you only replace the screen and the hmi?   I've been searching but cant find the info I need.   Please help.

He likely reprogrammed it as a 4” again. Drop us a line from our website if you need more help (or need us to do it or send you another hmi etc)

Dealer didn't charge me, maybe I should get them to try again then, and let them know to do as io5 right?  Easy as that you think?

check to make sure all the connectors are plugged in correctly on the hmi
