Revers visibility

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone is having issues with seeing the curve when parking at night. I am sure I am being overly cautious because of my rims and not wanting to bank them on the curve. I have upgraded the reverse lights to LED and still have the issues and as you all well know the backup cam at night is just terrible. Has anyone done something to fix this or is having the same issues? Also is their a way to dim the backup cam screen? Mine always goes to full brightness at night when it comes on. Only a real issue at night.

The backup screen is WAY too bright at night and as far as I know, there has not been a fix for it yet.  I submitted a complaint to the NHTSA about it being a hazard because it truly is.  Maybe if enough of us complain via that route, something will get done.

Do you have the HD backup camera? It’s a Convenience II package feature.

I have it and think it does a great job in dark lighting.

I traded my LT in for an LTZ that has the HD backup camera and the difference is day and night.

I think GM might have one of the best quality back up cameras out there in this HD model.

I was in a friend’s new King Ranch the other night and the quality and fisheye of his camera was terrible.
