Hellwig 7735

Ride is a 2016 LT DC 4x4 1500. Not happy with it's handling. Just seems kind of floaty to me. More body roll than I am used to. I have been looking at a Hellwig 7735 rear anti-sway bar. Mainly because it seems to be the one I have seen mentioned more times than any other. Prices are $377.02 at most retailers. Although one has offered it to me for 5% of because it's been sitting in my shopping cart for a couple days. I don't plan on ding the install my self, but I have a trusted shop that will.

My question comes down to this. Is it worth the investment?

Simple answer is yes however you are better of with suspension first. Lower or stiffer springs. Even a help bag setup.

Solid axle high body and soft travel is the issues.

Only other thing is weight but other then race truck most people will not saw and cut the metal away.

How does the DJM sway bars compare? I haven't looked too hard but I figure they're different in diameter. I am going to hold off until mine is lowered to buy a front or rear though. My last truck had one at the time of it being lowered and I had to source different end links so I will drop it first then go with sway bars

Will I be causing myself any problems by doing the sway bar first?

Not problems but if staying at factory height the benefit is little to none. Onlynothernthing inwould say is big bag and or stiffer springs. At stock height.

Would helper springs provide the added stiffnes? Or is that just goona help with loads?

I would consider looking at a set of Rough Country traction bars. They greatly improved my trucks connection with the asphalt, eliminated axle wrap and reduced body roll. I’m very pleased with the improvement in handling.

One of the other things that I did when my truck was new: I went to a spring shop and had a single full length leaf made. It has the correct spring rate and arc, so it didn’t alter the spring stack shape like an add a leaf. It just made the stack slightly thicker and stiffer. Which made the rear end seem less “floaty”. It was a very inexpensive mod.

Amazon has this bar for 260 shipped prime. This is the lowest price you will find this bar for period. I just bought mine the other day hope to have time to get it on soon. I bought the front also, because why not.

I did the Hellwig rear and front bar on my 04 2500 back around 07 NIGHT and day difference.

I have both here for my 1500 just havent had time to put them on yet.

the GM front bar is hollow it will twist. so if your going to do a solid rear bar I would also put a solid front bar on.

I had the Hellwig on my 2016 Leveled F150, absolutely loved it. It will not take the floaty feeling out, but it will cut down on almost all of the body roll. At least it did on the ford, I have been waiting on a good price for the 7735. I think i paid 230 from amazon for the ford bar.
