Has anyone ever run 37’s on a Silverado with a 4.3L V6?

Recommended Posts

I’ve got a 2015 Silverado, currently running 35/12.5/20.  It runs just fine with the 35s, and does everything I need it to do.  I’ve got about another 6 months left on these tires, and was considering upgrading to 37s.  I was wondering if anyone was currently running that size tire with a V6?

With the right gearing I don't see why it won't work. Look at old Toyota pickups or something like a Samurai with 2-digit horsepower on 37s or even big stuff like 40s. They run like 5.30 gears though. haha

I’m sorry these kinda threads are amusing. I’m old I remember seeing tires like that on 150 HP broncos and blazers. I remember station wagons pulling campers. Speed limit will be accomplished, just taking a bit longer.

I have a 17 1500. Just did a 9in lift with 37s. I have a 4.3 with a 6speed transmission. With a 3.23 gear ratio.

I do a fair amount of hw driving and some city. In rare occasions do I haul anything no heavier than 2000 pounds

what gear ratio should a upgrade to?

Did you ever figure out what you needed to run?Do you still have your rig?
