2019 LTZ 1500 6.2L HAS A BIRTH DEFECT

Recommended Posts

I bought a sweet, so I thought 2019 LTZ 6.2L 1500 Z71 Silverado,  Right away I noticed and odd noise when truck warms up.  To the dealer we go, It's the transfer case gasket, uh.. no

next it's the rubber bushing in front axle... yup you guessed it not it, still making noise, 43 days  in repair and now its differential, changed that...  Wow Noise is back worse than before, so I ask... is my baby the only one with this birth defect or are there many out there?

Wow, sorry about all this. That stinks.

You noticed the noise when the truck was just idling? Or was it when you were driving? There are various other threads on here about weird noises in the new trucks... some in the steering column, others outside the truck when driving, etc. etc.

Look in the jingle jingle thread in this section. Its the front differential Its excessive play in the drive shaft on the drivers side. If you have been in for service more than 30 days most likely you qualify for a buy back. Google the BBB auto line program asap.

  • 1 month later...

I noticed a scrubbing noise in the front end week 1 of ownership(Bought truck mid February 2019).  Been to the shop several times.  Replaced drivers side axle, then whole front assembly.  Still making the noise.  I have been in a loaner truck for almost a month this time.  Working with GM to do a buy back or trade assist.  I was told it is a bad batch of axles(who knows)

43 days ?  I would call the BBB Monday morning. On the 30th day my 2014 Sierra was in the shop I called bbb. In less then 1 month I had all my money back including my down. Gm tried playing the credit back for a new truck but no bait taken. It’s your money. F the truck. You can get another one. Go get your money back
