Biggest tires on AT4 20" stock wheels with NO modification

Recommended Posts

Thank you.  That’s what I was looking for.  Trying to decide if it’s enough to justify upgrading from the stock 275 60s. If you have any pictures I’d love to see

WOW!! I love it... Thanks for helping me spend more money....lol.  Good luck with it.  Looks great.

Well that's what I had on for three weeks on my truck before I put my leveling kit in 285 65 R20 Toyo Open Country AT3 factory rims no modifications

Can’t find this tire size or AT3 on Toyo’s site???  Trying to find out if this tire exists.

Otherwise it’s 275/65/20 AT2

How close is the inner wall of tire to upper control arm?  No trimming at all?  Looks fantastic.  Can’t believe it fits.  Thanks.

I took some pics to show all three close areas.  In front of the tire, behind the tire and upper control arm. I can force a finger between the tire and liner in front and mud flap in rear turned to lock in both directions. Nearly two fingers between tire and upper control arm in all positions.

35x11.50x20 Ridge Grapplers. Bought the truck last thursday and had these installed two days later. Zero rub, smooth, ride great.

Phew, with your tires being 3/4" taller than mine, they must be millimeters from rubbing your mud flaps as you can see in my last post how close mine are.  Awesome to know we can squeeze in 35s on stock setup.  I am really happy with the look and tires as well.  If they were 15-20 pounds lighter, I would really love them.

Oh and confirmed zero trimming.  I wanted to install the wider mud guards GM offers but based on research, I think they have a good chance of rubbing due to being thicker.

@DanBlp I think mine are a hair narrower than yours. Discount put them on and tested them up and down inclines to ensure no rubbing- they refuse to put anything on that will rub or exceed factory width recommendations. As far as the weight goes- I got 16.8mpg in the 6.2L driving home from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth last week with only 500 miles on the engine- hit E halfway down and the only gas station in BFE had 87 only. I can definitely feel the truck is more planted but it definitely is not affecting the power. I'll probably add a 1" to the truck up front in the next few months just to have a little bit less rake.

@DanBlp and @FWaT4 , I am considering the two different tire sizes you both have for my new '20 AT4.  How far off is your speedometer for each of you?  Any rubbing developed since you installed your tires (I assume your trucks are both still stock)?  Any regrets with the sizes?  Thanks for some additional feedback as I am dying to get rid of the Goodyear 275/60/20's on my stock rig.

So I thought my speedo would be way off like 65mph on the dash but doing 68. However, on the way down to our beach vacation a few days ago, i had my sister in law ride alongside me in her Honda CRV so i could gauge how far off I was. My speedo was at 66, hers at 65. Very surprising,  yes I know it is not the most accurate measure but I am still confident I can set my cruise at the speed limit and not have to worry about being pulled over....

I have no regret with the size as I wanted something to fill the wheel wells since the street tires that came on the truck did not look right. Not sure why GM would lift a truck but not offer bigger tires....

Yes, still stock, but will eventually be adding a 1" to the front mostly for looks as the minimal rub I have turning into my inclines doesn't bother me all that much.
