Now we’re talking. I figure if it’s gonna feel like winter, it might as well look the part!5FC73D7A-D41B-4CB5-BCF8-C05875F1396C.thumb.jpeg.35eefc8f229ed232c3c0f1fc9368360d.jpeg

That RAM is a great looking truck and everyone I know up here with one loves them once they find a good tire combo to get through that stuff. Hows the Pennzoil 0w40 running in it?

It’s doing okay. Seems a little more tickety-tappity, especially now that it’s got some miles on it. Red Line stayed quiet. Will probably dump it soon and have a cheap sample done. Wanna see how the wear metals are progressing with the different oil, better filter and slightly less “exciting” driving.

If Mobil 1 ESP 0w40 is allowed and approved might try it.  Redline, Amsoil, RLI, Evolve etc will be hard to beat.

You should have the most recent one I had Nick do on the Red Line a month or two ago. I have yet to sample the Pennzoil that’s currently in the sump but it will be done in the next few weeks. Will keep you posted on that.

Chrysler has a deal with Pennzoil, technically it’s the only thing “approved”. However they don’t strictly require it according to the language in the owner’s manual.

Ah, found it. Looks quite normal considering the miles. We talked about it. I remember now. D'oh! Looks like a new motor wearing in. TBN/AN are in line with a new motor IMHO. Wear metals will decline with miles. Did't we look into this and find this was not off the reservation for the 6.2 Hellcat?

Look at that. I changed oil early and often for years on new motors and told people it was to remove wear materials. Now, here right before my eyes is the proof of a thing I intuitively knew. Well happy me.

OnTheReel, here's some background data on M1 ESP 0w40 in my daughters two 2019 GS Corvettes different colors, well because she can.....LOL.  Works for a big US GOV defense contracting company and loves HP and TQ.

The 6.2L Vette engine with dry sump is interesting. Mobil 1 ESP did pretty well with what I consider a weak design in reality of day to day driving.

Yeah, high iron and copper are not unusual for the platform at similar miles. But I do hope to see a reduction nonetheless.

Thanks for sharing. Looks pretty good. Kinda expensive in my neck of the woods though. Doesn’t look like Walmart sells it. Their other M1 products are about $30 a jug.

Sorry Brother. I will think through better options for you. You deserve to protect that HOSS!
