So. I saw this on Instagram for anybody wanting to do something like this.  They said they fabricated a thin piece of metal and painted it and then stuck it behind the grill center.  Think it makes the truck look 10 times better.

I’m gonna give it a shot and I’ll document the process for anybody interested.  Believe I’m gonna go with red on mine

I actually manufacture ABS Plastic Letters for the Tailgate and would love to work with you to figure out a way to do this, to make the grill lettering red or other colors using plastic, metal, acrylic or something of the sort. Let me know how you did it! Thanks!

I have an lt so idk what it looks like behind it but could vinyl work? Is the a flat surface behind the lettering?

People have tried vinyl but the surface in the letters is a “mesh” so there isn’t any area to stick to so the vinyl just comes off in the rain or heat

I'm looking for a more solid background. maybe trim a piece that replaces the mesh ? I haven't taken it apart to see how its built.

I am also looking into manufacturing a solid part/piece that can go inside the grill. Unfortunately I don’t have one at hand so i cant look on how its made inside of the size of plate/cover we would need
