Jingle jingle underneath only in 2wd

Recommended Posts

Here is the axle video I made, I was using my bad arm so it was tough for me to pull on it... Made a very similar sound...

GM Corporate called me today, update call will be on Tuesday.

So, had a repair “B” way back when. Just dealt with the noise since, obviously the repair didn’t work.

Today I took the truck back in. They’re way up in letters now for the repair updates. “E” to be exact. Photos posted below. I’ll let you know what it does.

Yeah they just ordered my parts today and they are coming from Michigan from what my Service Manager told me. He said it will take about a week to a week and a half to get here to Colorado. We are going to do a part comparison before the parts get installed and I'm going to take pictures of it to document everything.

The parts are finally at the dealership!!!! Hopefully I can get an appointment in the next few days.

Ended up picking back up my truck the next day since none of the parts had arrived. The loaner ended up being a dud and threw a check engine light 30 miles after picking it up.

Got the truck back today. About a 20 min drive home, with 250 ft worth it chain link fence parts in the back, zero noise. I’ll keep y’all updated with my results. Crossing my fingers that this is the one.

Good to know! Hopefully this fixes the issue, even though I’m highly skeptical.

100+ miles in, no jingle. I have about 6 hours of driving to do today, so I’ll know for sure by days end.

I’ll update when I get home.

Damn! I was hoping it was a final fix!

Yeah, if it was a final fixit would be a TSB and not a PIP.

GM called me today and are super eager to if the parts they sent fixed the issue. Super odd. Either way my truck goes in next week.

After changing the front differential, (after the stub shaft replaced) I've put about 6000 miles on it. Has a little over 10k miles now. Been on several long trips and the highest temp so far has been in the upper 80s. So far, no noise. Hopefully it stays that way, but sounds like it will eventually return.

This sounds a bit more encouraging. Do you know which front diff they put in, maybe a part number?
