Jingle jingle underneath only in 2wd

Recommended Posts

I am taking my Trail Boss in tomorrow for this.

Pray for me. lol

I have zero faith in the morons at this dealership.

Only 2,800 miles and it'll already be 3 visits to the dealership.

Taking it in for a stuck tailgate also. Second time for the same thing.

I just picked up my High Country from having bulletin PIP5653B Jingle Jingle "fix" completed. Now it's a wait and see if it returns.

BAD NEWS!

Today was my first longer drive since the "fix",  unfortunately the "Jingle jingle" was back in less than 50 miles. Will be calling my service writer tomorrow.

Does not make me feel good about having mine torn apart.

Guys I just bought a brand new Silverado 1500 Z71 yesterday lol. I’m having the same issue. Hearing a scraping jingle noise. It’s not loud but if going slower with window down I can hear it. Should I worry?  I mean literally just bought it with 6 miles on the odometer. From what I’m hearing the “fix” sometimes doesn’t work and some guys have brought it in 4-6 times and still having issues. Wondering if I should just deal with it and not waste time. Please help.

Where the heck are you reading that people took it in 4-6 times?

This is not an issue GM can sweep under the carpet and hope people quit complaining. I'm old, hearing not so good, and I can hear it above my stereo. Eventually they'll come up with a "fix" that will actually fix it! Take yours in and give them the bulletin number and let them research it, the more complaints, the faster the "correct fix" will come.

Had read somebody on here over 4 times and looking into lemon law. Just looking for insight on this since mine is so new (build date 06/19). Thanks.

Mine is going on today after work.

Don't have much faith it'll fix the problem, but we'll see. I think if enough people keep taking it in, GM will come up with a better fix.

While annoying, at least it's not something that'll leave you stranded so enjoy the truck for now and take it in when you can

Thanks guys. Hope the best for y’all!  So the consensus I’m hearing is: The supposed “fix” isn't fixing all trucks and really it’s a crapshoot at this point. I hate to take the truck in and just to have a band aid situation with it and waste time. I mean if I ultimately have to just deal with it I can. Absolutely love the truck and drives smooth as butter. Just hope it’s not something that gets worse.

The more complaints....the quicker the "correct" fix will come.

400 miles on my truck and the same issue is going on .taking it in to the dealer Tuesday. Already called the service manager and told him about the TSB. I would not be so dissapointed if the fix for this was actually fixing the problem.

TB's shouldn't have this issue, as I understand our trucks have totally different parts than those with the "jingle jingle"?

Mine only jingles once in a blue moon, especially when hitting a bump I may hear it but I think it's definitely related to this.

I get a pretty loud click and if I put it in 4wd it goes away. Check out my video a few pages back.
