Hey guys. Anyone having problems with there key fob. I keep getting a key fob not detected on both sets of fobs. Called the dealer they say to put fob in the centre console cup holders to reset fob, but when I do my keyless entry stop and I can’t lock the truck. And the fob won’t open or lock the truck. Any thoughts.

Had something similar happen on my 2011 Cts coupe within a couple hundred miles of driving it.  Key fobs were real weak, to the point that I'd have to put them in the Fob slot.  And when I'd press the door popper from the outside (no door handles on the coupes) it would pop the trunk.

They replaced the computer for the keyless entry and I never had another problem for over 210k miles. Took less than a couple hours.

Thanks, the truck is going in on Tuesday.the fob needs to be constantly in the slot or the truck doesn’t recognize the fobs. The keyless entry only works on the passenger side of the truck. We shall see what the dealer says on Tuesday. I hope this truck isn’t a nightmare like my 14 was.

Cooter Brown,

Did you ever get this issue resolved, 2021 Sierra AT4 is doing the same thing. Key fob will work all functions remotely but truck will not detect fob for push button entry or start. My service department is currently unable to get it working.

Hi There im having the same issues here, 23,000 miles on my 2020 Trail boss Silverado and im not sure if I accidentally pressed some buttons in my remote that messed up something. but.  when I try to start it says that there's no detection of remote and then tells me to put fob in slot but I have to hold start button and press brake for a while to start.  haven't had any issues until now.  and  Tire pressure monitor system stop working and light came on in the dash.  Don't know if this is related.    Got home and pulled out my xtra FOB control and also did not work.  Remote start will not work, can't even get door locks to work with the remote.   Does any one know what's going on.  Would hate to take it to dealer and spend who knows how many days waiting for them to fix it.   Im going to check for fuses and try to find a way to maybe figure it out.

I am having same issue with my 2020 AT4 including keyfobs and tire pressure alert. Did anybody ever find out what needs to be fixed?

There are two different antennas that work with the keyfob. One for the distance functions (remote start, unlock, lock, panic, tailgate release) and another for proximity functions (door unlock/lock buttons). The antenna for the proximity functions is located in the center console/jump seat.

If you've recently done a center console/jumpseat swap, it's likely that you either didn't plug the harness back in properly or that the antenna in the new jumpseat/center console is missing/damaged.

If you've made no recent modifications, there has been a few instances where there were issues with the keyfobs and how they were programmed. Your dealer should be able to reprogram them to fix it.

Not center console or other, found active water leaking in channel in back window (had taken it in last winter because inside windows would actually ice up in winter and they couldnt find leak) and I started having some electrical issues then and told them.

There are 2 SB's that cover my issues EXACTLY:

1) 18-NA-383 August 2020

Water Leak at Rear Sliding.  Window

(IT SAYS FOR 2019'S BUT A BUNCH OF 2020S HAVING SAME EXACT SAME PROBLEM)

2) 16-NA-061 December 2017

Service Tire Monitor System/Tire Pressure Display Dashes/RKE Short Range/No Fob Detected Message

(IT SAYS.ONLY GMC YUKON 2015-2018 MODELS AFFECTED)

I had to look online and find these SB's myself. Of course, when I took it in to dealer last winter (and it was still under the Bumper to Bumper warranty) they couldn't find anything.

Taking it in tomorrow with both service bulletins in hand, but they have already said I have to pay for it myself and try to deal with GM after the fact. Will post update

I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 Duramax, my issue is the dash will not light up when entering the truck, or it will say "Remote Learn Pending", either one will not allow me to start the truck. The dealer said it was the Fobs and at my expense replaced both of them which I questioned. Problem is still happening.

I can however unlock/lock the doors, remote start from 200' but cannot release the controls once inside to be able to operate the truck.

any ideas or other peeps having same or similar issues?

Driver door window master switch.  We had a truck do this.  There is a PI on it to test the window switch, door harness and the door latch.  We put a latch and harness in this truck, but the window switch is what fixed it.

Dealer can pull it up, PIT5860.

I have a 2019 Sierra 1500.  Very intermittent issue with the push button start not working. All functions on the key fob will work, however the push button start will not work. OnStar says this is an on going issue with GM.  This happens to both keys.

Is it possible that this is part of the Chevy PIT5860 SB?

This is very frustrating.  Thanks for your help!
