Having some issues

My truck is a 2019 Silverado rst 5.3 crew. I’m really loving the truck. However, I’m plagued with bad luck. Coming from a 2018 f150 that was bought back from me. I was hoping to be trouble free for a while. Anyway, something is up with my brakes. My brake pedal is creaking like crazy. Also, it’s pulsing which you could hear. And no, it’s not my rotors or abs when braking hard. It happens when I slightly touch the brakes or when completely stopped. The truck could be in park and if I lightly push the brakes it does it. I have a feeling it’s the brake booster but who knows. I had creaking only and I brought my truck in a month ago and they said it was fixed. Guess not. Another issue is my steering wheel. It makes a weird creak when I turn left or right and only when moving slowly. On regular turns there’s no noise. I hear it down where it goes through the firewall. I’ve also had my screen either black out or get stuck on the most dimmest it could get. Nothing major I think, just small annoyances that need to be addressed and time wasted. Anyone else having these type of issues. I know the screen bugs have already arised but how about the other two problems? After having a ford this is small beans. Anyway, what do you think the issues are? Thanks

Now that you mention the brake pedal vibrations, I think I felt the same on my 2019 RST this morning. I was parked (in P) but I had my foot on the brake after just pushing the start button. Felt like the pedal was vibrating very slightly, but I thought maybe it was just rev up vibration from the engine starting.

I will pay closer attention to this tomorrow and report back.

It’s a pulsing like the abs. Not so much a vibration.

Try posting this in the Troubleshooting section.

Otherwise you have a brand new truck with a warranty. Take it to your dealer.

Suggestion will be for you to call GM Customer Assistance 1-866-790-5600 and inform them what’s going on. They’re very eager to help. Just make sure you’re happy with your current dealership and if not then choose another cause any GM dealership can fix your truck. Once GM contacts your dealership then you’ll see the dealership jump on it

Fairly common with the 2019's new style sensor brake pad. Give GM some time to get the bugs worked out. They should have a better understanding of the new brakes for the 2020 model year.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do understand the dealer will fix it. This is my first experience with a Chevy and this dealership. I’m just trying to see if anyone else has an idea of what the issue is or if anyone else actually had this issue and what was the fix. Thanks again

Just make sure you’re happy with your current dealership and if not then choose another cause any GM dealership can fix your truck. Once GM contacts your dealership then you’ll see the dealership jump on it

I called customer care and they were very nice. They said I totally have cause for concern with all the nonsense games the dealership has been playing. The lady I spoke with opened a case and said she was going to immediately escalate it. It’s almost two weeks I’ve been out a truck and this is the second visit to the shop. Technically, the third. I had a defective master cylinder cap that was leaking everywhere after two days of ownership. Truck is only two months old. Multiple issues already. Coming from a 2018 f150 buyback I’m quite upset with my bad luck.

I called customer care and they were very nice. They said I totally have cause for concern with all the nonsense games the dealership has been playing. Each and everyone of us has some sort of issues with every vehicle, it’s just the nature of the beast when buying a high tech vehicle.

While I agree there are issues that arise with every make/model. However, they’re already replacing my steering column and I have other unresolved issues that I feel are no small beans. Three service visits in less than two months is not a good start. In most eyes it’s unacceptable. What am I to expect in the long term?

The 2019's use a totally new electronic braking system and could make some unusual noises that you've never heard before. Going to an electronic system is good in that it gets rid vacuum boosted system that the K2 trucks and the turbocharged F-150's used. That means no more worries about vacuum pumps failing or damaging the master cylinder. However it does mean that there will be early issues that affect some trucks with the system. It was designed by ZF so it's not some junk system from a no-name start up company. I think we'll be seeing the system in a lot of new vehicles soon.

Take it in and have them take a look. I'm only saying that the braking system in the 2019's is a totally new system and will make noises you haven't heard in a vehicle before. ~~Neither my RST nor the one I test drove made the noise yours is making.~~

Edit: I take it back. My truck does make noises like this... when the parking brake is on, and also when the truck applies the brake after I've shifted out of park and into drive or reverse. I'm guessing that these are normal noise. I've just never listened that closely until you brought it up. I'm assuming it's the noise of the electronic brake system functioning normally because my brakes work great.
