VECI label

Recommended Posts

I finally settled on the dry filter Banks Ram air CAI. Did have some luck with an AEM dry flow on my last truck so I figured I'd give it chance. I noticed that the VECI label is actually on the stock air bx cover that I will be removing. Is this a dealer only item? I know I have to get a CARB sticker (included) for sure but not 100% on the VECI label. Would it have to affixed to the new air cleaner or can it be stuck somewhere else?

You can affix that label anywhere under the hood/in the engine compartment.

I wouldn't worry too much about it though since dealer would have all of the information about your vehicle's emission system based on VIN and vehicle type (same info as on sticker) and then a whole lot more.

I didn't even bother to put on the CARB EO sticker. I just left it in my glove box.

Wasn't to crazy about it when a local dealer quoted me about $70 plus 4 to 6 weeks for new label. Found a couple of websites that make them for you with just a pic of your old one but seemed kinda of sketchy.
