Welcome to the forum. Very bad deal. This is a known issue, Gm should take care of this for you.

Thank you. I hope GM does pick the dealer charge

If the knew about this possible clamp issue, why not recall?

As commented above, if this happens on highway in the fast lane of busy highway, people can get killed over GM saving a few pennies on a clamp.

Silly accounting and engineering mistake.

What are people doing to prevent this? Maybe a check in place every year?

Really upset at GM over this.

Quarterly profits take precedence above all else at GM.  As long as there are customers lined up to purchase, why manufacture a quality and reliable vehicle when you don’t have to?

Go to any car forum and you will find they all have some type of problem.

Had the lines replaced on my 2019 6.2L after finding oil leaking. Drove the truck for a week and noticed still smelled oil burning and seeing more oil leaking. Dealer told me that the rear main failed. I am not at all happy with the quality of this truck. Between the 2 repairs I am out more than $4,000.

How many miles on the truck?
