Biggest tire on non trail boss/at4

Recommended Posts

So what's the biggest tire we can run on a leveled Silverado with aftermarket rims that will stay flush with the fender or tucked a bit? I'm looking at some black rhinos or methods that run 18x8.5-9 with either 0 offset or +12. I'm hoping to get some 285/75-R18 all terrains to fit. I'd rather buy online as it's cheaper than the local wheel shops

That measures out to 35x11.  There is no way you can run that unless you use a stock offset wheel.  I'm running 305/55R20 on a 20x9 with 0 mm offset which translates to 33.5x12.5R20 and it rubs on full lock and I have a Trailboss.  You can run some 33s if you stay at the offsets you are looking at and add a 2" level.

I have the 2" level. I thought I could run something bigger. I had 33s on my 16 Silverado.

Yeah unless you keep the stock wheels, you wont be able to fit 35s.  Theres a bunch of posts in Mods section of the forum where people are leveling the Trailboss and still cant fit 35s with a 0 mm offset.  You could search around there and see what is the largest anyone has run without a level but my Trail Boss as mentioned earlier is running 33.5x12.5s and it still slightly rubs.  I dont have a level so my front end is exactly where yours would be with a level.

Yea the problem with going with bigger tires and the positive rim offset. Is it will actually rub on your frame. My boss has a Silverado 2500 diesel with 6 inch lift. And his 35s rub hard on inside frame inside the wheel well. Where if he got a 0 offset or negative. He would have no issues at all. If you want bigger tires you need to get atleast a 0 offset or get spacers if you really can’t part ways from the full positive offset.  I’m looking to see what size tires I can fit on my 2020 Silverado 1500 with 2.5 inch lift in the front. I already have 33 inch tires with 20 inch rims stock. I want to find out how much of a negative I can go with either 33s or 35s and tires width.
