Braking issue with new truck.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. New here, this is my first topic that I've posted. I just picked up a 2019 Silverado Z71 RST All Star edition about a week ago. I've noticed that when coming to a stop, right before you come to a complete stop, my brakes feel like they release for just a split second and the truck lunges just a hair, then the brakes grab again and it stops. It almost feels like the ABS is kicking in and pumping the brakes for me, but it does this every time I stop and it doesn't matter the speed I'm going, or stopping at. Anyone else have this issue?

So I've got about 600 miles on the truck now and the problem seems to be going away. It only happens now on occasion. I'll be taking it in to the shop this weekend though and have it looked at. Now that it's intermittent though, I'd be surprised if they even find anything...

Got to dealer at 3:30, it was done at 4pm. Drove home about 20 miles, with 7 traffic lights and 2 stop signs and it still did it twice. I don't think this is the fix we're looking for.

So after a couple more days and and a couple hundred more miles, its gotten a lot better. Haven't had a hard downshift since. Maybe it just takes a little for the relearn to fully take affect.

I have a 2019 LT 4x4 Z71 and I have experienced this as well. At first I thought it was my breaking habit, or being to rough/light on the pedal. It  is intermittent, have about 640 mi on the truck so far. Anyone have any updates since?
