Ok, so it's relatively easy to get to for replacement. Knock on wood mine is still good at 107xxx miles.

Yes you could do it in minutes, if you can get those odd press fittings to release off PCV and fuel vent side to release without breaking, I will post a pic in a few. Still

waiting for ECM reset to clear evap test.

They got 6 in today.....I had to go back in for MIL code that did not reset with my old scanner. Plugged in the GM laptop and updated and checked everything. My Scanner still shows a waiting code so we shall see.  Waiting for ECM to finish checks again.  Runs great no matter before or after.

The story for engine oil usage is that PCV and CCV system is too strong for design.  Hmmm.

Does anyone have one over a 100,000 miles on it with no major problems?

I am over 107,000 miles now. No major issues, other than the oil consumption issue. I just keep an eye on it and top it off periodically as needed. Knock on wood. Truck has been great. I replaced shocks all around at 95,000. I'm on my second set of tires. Original brakes. Oil changes have been every 5000-6000 miles. Trans, diffs and T-case all serviced 50k intervals. Purrs like a kitten.

That’s great to hear! My truck has 40k on it with no issues. I was going to get the transmission, diff ect… changed out and the dealer said not to unless it was acting funny. I’m going to take it to the next town over’s dealership I think. Has your oil consumption stayed the same? Mine might use a little oil sometimes but it certainly hasn’t gotten worse. I change my oil between 3000-4000 miles. The evap systems on all new cars are a huge pain, we live on a dusty farm and all of our cars end up with clogged or malfunctioning evap systems eventually, no matter what the brand.

I personally think the trans should be serviced at least every 50k. The fluid and filter can only last so long. Especially with hot and dusty usage... I have an independent trans shop do it for me and I think it costs around $250 for a pan service and filter. Worth it in my opinion haven't had any issues with my transmission. It's cheap insurance.

Well I pulled the trigger on a 2024 silverado crew cab 4x4. Went with the 2.7. Been driving it for 2 days and it actually runs better then my 2015 GMC with the 5.3. Really happy so far with truck.

Scheduled appointment next Wednesday and while the truck was idling the MIL extinguished.  Maybe this truck is demon possessed? @Grumpy Bear thoughts?  LOL   Maintenance Supervisor things the new pump is bad.

I am consistently getting 26-28 MPG @ 65 mph on HWY 160 here in CO.  I love this stout 4 popper. Heck these things run in 2 cylinders most of the time cruising.

Oil usage update.  I added 11 ounces of RLI BIOSYN 5w30 @ 2000 miles.   MPG noticeably increased changing the oil back to 5w30 vs 10w30.
