My trailboss is the opposite, I get 19 around town and 16 on the Highway average. It really depends on the wind though, the truck is so high off the ground it has a big effect on mpg’s.

How much of a lift do you have over stock? My 2022 LTD Trail Boss Custom is stock.

I live in an area of super high winds and don't see that. Of course I don't speed that much.

I just made a trip and averaged 23.2 mpg at 60 mph round trip which included 40+ mph winds on tail and head wind on way home.  26.2 MPG tail wind, 20.2 MPG  into wind.  Best into wind MPG ever and climbing La Veta pass in CO.   87 octane fuel using RLI fuel adds both ways and AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lube on way back from 02BlackSilverado a  site sponsor.

~2200 miles on Havoline ProRs 5w30 Dexos1 Gen 2 and not a drop of oil used via dipstick subjective reading.

Tail pipe soot using E15 Maverik and 6.6 gallons of crap Kroeger 91 octane on way up nearly clean. On way back using 87 E10 Sinclair sooty as heck.  Usually that means oil usage, this time its just fuel.

Noting coolant level dropping ever so slightly, hope that is trapped coolant from heater and other heat exchangers on shutdown.  Oil analysis shows 0 coolant in oil so far and no external leaks.

Mine is the stock lift which is 2” over the normal silverado. I live in North Dakota so the temps are sub-zero much of the time and pretty much below freezing from October to April so that impacts the mpg’s. I very rarely average in the 20’s . The 2022 ltds have the first version of the 2.7 in them mine is the high output version. The HO tune doesn’t get as good of gas mileage. I was just talking to a couple guys who traded their old 2019 2.7’s in for the new 2023 HO version and they said the drop in mileage was pretty big but that they can feel the boost in power. So it’s a trade off.

Thanks for sharing.  The 2.7 TB Custom I have is garaged and that garage is never below 32F and that helps a lot.  The GM 2.7 Turbo of both builds over-cools/over-fuels in my opinion so if its pre warmed or kept warmer in garage its going to get to operating temp faster and return better MPG.  That over-fueling will kill MPG for sure. Especially if subzero temps. I am at 9000' msl so our temps are consistent with yours up near the Canadian border.

Hard water season with the boosted 4 banger. Two weekends in now and 40 fish landed, ~120 lbs. It's pulled that trailer for two week long hunting trips and given truck rides to 2 deer and a wolf, and a week long summer vacation plus a weekender as well. Such a great motor, super relaxed, pulls that with ease. About 22,500 kms (14,000 miles) on truck now. Hope to see this rig run out a long long time.

This looks like the first real good tuner for the 2.7L. I’ve talked to the customer service guys and I’m going to order it, I’ll keep this post updated.

Amsoil XL 5w30 in my HO.  Just over 10k on the odometer, no burn that I've noticed but my engine oil cooler is sweating, and the lower oil pan is glazing at the back.  Gotta have the shop fix that lol.

👌 As I understand my 2022 LTD a  E85 tune is already in the ECM. Maybe this outfit activates it or kills the % ethanol fuel density MIL set above 50% ETOH? I can’t get E85 around here but E15 with Amsoil UCL and PI is being tested. That E15 is 86 octane.

Order placed. Customer service has been great so far. If we have a decent weather day next week I’ll put it in. I’m excited to hopefully get a little more power out of the OG 2.7.

Thanks for sharing Mike.

"Sweating" a GM tech term for oil leak?   🤣

BTW at nearly 3000 miles on Havoline Pro-Rs I have 0 oil usage. Adding the PI from Amsoil is really noticeable and MAY be increasing MPG using the E15 significantly. More as I track the data. It definitely idles better. Tail pipe totally clear of soot.

Lol.  That's what I'm going with.  Its got glazing and a couple drips on the fins of the cooler.  So sweating seemed appropriate to me lol.

  Well, that stinks.
