Hello all,

I recently installed an S&B cold air intake for my 2018 Silverado 1500. Whenever the truck is under load from climbing hills or accelerating from already moving, I get this vibration noise. The vibration sounds like it’s coming from the dash, but I believe it’s travel to the dash from else where. With troubleshooting I may have thought it was the coolant reservoir rattling against the battery and air box. I added some padding and it mitigate some of the noise but still very noticeable.

Has as anyone experienced or heard of this problem? And does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent or make the vibration less?

thank you

I would say it sounds harmonic. But it sounds like something is rattling in the dash, like an object vibrating on top of your washer machine. It never made this noise with the stock intake, and I had to remove the coolant reservoir so the airbox could fit into place, then reinstall the reservoir back into its original position as per the instructions. The reservoir is bolted back down tight but has a bit of movement to it.
