Instrument display and infotainment screen staying on, ignition off, doors closed and locked

Recommended Posts

'19 trailboss with passive entry and push button start. Twice now I've noticed strange issues with the instrument display and the infotainment screen. First time, I turned the truck off, got out and locked the door. Looked back in and the infotainment /radio was still on and playing, screens looked normal, just like they do when truck is on. Unlocked truck, turned on ignition then turned it back off and the radio shut off like normal.

Then tonight I turned off the truck, got out, locked it, then looked inside, I could see infotainment screen was still on lit up but just a blank black display, instrument display was on but blank with a screen that just had a bar on top. And the back lighting of all of the interior buttons was still on.  Unlocked truck, turned ignition on then off and everything shut down like normal.

Yesterday the dealer updated my infotainment to V509 I believe.

Anyone seen this yet?

Photo was taken through the window with the door shut.

My Cruze does this - it started a few weeks after we picked it up. The only thing I could correlate it with is that we use one of the USB charge ports on the back of the console to power a dashcam and thought that might be making the car keep things live for a bit?

Ours turns off when the exterior lights click off after the exit delay.
