mmayo - Why Line-x your ranch hand? It comes with a serious enough coating on it stock. I have one and havent noticed rusting or problems as of yet. Maybe your on to something though except that line-x doesnt keep it jet black like stock to match your truck...

I Line-X'd it and my nerf bars so they would match my bed and toolbox. (My toolbox is aluminum and It's from my old truck) So now everything matches since its all Line-X'd. The good part was it turned out being cheaper for me. I bought a "blemished" grill guard, meaning it was all scratched up. Ranch Hand ships these things on big crates and sometimes they get a little messed up/scratched whatever. The Bumpers sell for $899, I bought mine for $590, paid $125 to spray it, and another $60 to have it installed. So installed and out the door was $775.....Much cheaper than the $899 + installation for a plain one. Also my truck is that dark Metallic Grey color so it didn't match exactly to begin with.
