squireofgothos88
I had that happen too and read somewhere on here that if you’re using Carplay, don’t also connect your phone to the infotainment system via bluetooth. I set my iphone to forget the truck’s bluetooth and haven’t had a freeze up since. I don’t know if that’s the definitive reason but so far so good. Thanks I’ll try it out!"I know I can do it," Todd Downey said, helping himself to another ear of corn from the steaming bowl.
UGADawgs
For some reason my pixel3xl will connect via Bluetooth for calls, but I have to used AA for music. Not sure why I can't stream audio via just BT.

Bgctrading
My texts don't come through when connected through blue tooth. They show on the phone with a minimal vibrate but no notification any ideas? Google pixel

When I go into phones, it shows pixel3xl and says calls and messages, but not audio. When I go to the audio menu and select BT device, it says nothing connected, but my phone shows connected to myChevrolet and it allows calls. I've removed and paired twice. Everytime I get in the truck, I get a notification on the phone to allow myChevrolet wants access to messages and it doesn't remember last known selection. It doesn't matter whether I say allow or not, neither selection has any impact. When I play music from the phone, it only comes through the truck via AA. Merkdizzy
Has anyone figured whether or not one can go to the dealer and have them force update it v803 or whatever the latest is? I’ve been checking mine for some time now, and it’s showing v509, as if it’s the latest.

Hint: cameras not reverting back to preferred view.

I went in and told them to update it a week ago (well after v803 was released) and they updated it to v509 via USB and did 2 other recalls. Today my truck got the OTA update to v803. Now for some reason I can't open the apps menu to download new apps. Get a connection error even though the truck is connected to wifi. AMPRG
I received V803.1 couple of days ago. Now my navigation send notice on the Driver Information Center, and add another line on HUD also, when I'm getting closer to 600f from the upcoming exit. DIC notice shows up if the main 8" isn't on navigation.

When I leave the second screen at trip 1, and then go back to screen one, it seems to occasionally go back to engine hours when going back to screen two. It forgets I want trip 1 to show. I've also had Android auto stop showing the bottom menu buttons once. After 500miles, just a few weird buggy things. I wonder if logs get back to GM for the developers to review like phone/app feedback. Haven't had any of those issues since the software update

DougFL
Since the update: My Messenger App has been removed and I no longer get messages displayed! My Hands Free Calling has been disabled even though I have over 500 minutes showing! My wife's profile was just deleted and All her settings! OnStar's solution, after spending 1.5 hours and being transferred back and forth between 3 different departments, is to TAKE it Back To the Dealer! There is nothing more worthless than onstar in this world. Their customer service is perfect to kill loyalty in GM customers. If I were you, I wouldn't even bother to waste my time in the dealership. They won't do anything for for you. Usually I fix similar issues by: 1) Unpair the phone from the cellphone first. Then deleting from the car. 2) if you have Android, reset network in settings. You won't lose your data. You'll lose just your preset wifi and paired Bluetooth devices. I don't know anything about iPhone. 3) pair your phone again. 4) install Android Auto (again if you have android phone) and connect the phone to the car with USB cable. 5) make sure to allow the car to have access to your phone's contacts and messages. Thanks, that has all been done. The problem is the Messaging App on the Infotainment System has disappeared. When the App was present I was able to receive and send messages through the App to and from my phone. Also, the hands free calling function through OnStar has been disabled, while it worked fine before!

For your lost minutes in onstar, they are the only people who can help you, not the dealer. My free data wasn't working after the first update in January. It wasn't working for couple of weeks. Finally they fixed it and the trial period expired next week. They didn't even extend it. I lost it without using it. ? If you want to fight with them, you should call GM directly and open a case with them and escalate it all the way up. Then they'll fix it. For useless onstar I wouldn't waste my time and more importantly, my nerve. I try to forget this option in my $60K truck, and enjoy the rest of it ??
