Borla XR-1 Installation help

I'm looking to install a Borla XR-1 soon. How did you guys get around the XR-1 being center inlet/center outlet and the stock muffler being offset inlet/center outlet? Any pictures would be helpful.

Not helpful. I'm not going to spend $1k on exhaust when I can do it myself for way cheaper

Actually it’s very helpful because it’s an option

other option would be to go to a muffler shop and have them build you a section of pipe to make it work

BORLA Pro X has the correct configuration you need. Summit racing has the best price.

I was going to go with a Pro XS but I wanted something louder and the XR-1 sounds the best IMO

Yeah the XR is louder for sure...

I'm about to add the XS to my set up , been tough getting the right sound without drone or rattling windows ... this will be my 3rd muffler change .... smh

I've heard the vibrant resonators are good at getting rid of drone without killing sound as bad as the stock resonator. I can't personally vouch for that though. I might go with one of I decide to build a full 3" exhaust

I just ran new pipe from the XR1 back, plus I wanted a different tip anyways.

Did you have to do anything to stay away from the driveshaft? It sits pretty close to the stock muffler

I put the xr1 on my 6.2, I went to a muffler shop and had them weld it on, they had to add a small pup piece of pipe to make it all connect. Deleted the flapper valve and the resonator and dumped next to the spare tire.

I got it installed this weekend. I ended up cutting and reconfiguring the stock pipe to work. Left the resonator on for now but it's still pretty quiet. I want to keep a resonator to help cut out the drone but I think the stock one is too restrictive.
