Tuners For 2018 Sierra "Hybrid" Truck?

Recommended Posts

Hey @3tspapat,

I have access to a few 3D printers, what do you think the likelihood of being able to make a part would be?  I could fab up a tube with a 90 degree bend, however i don't know about all of the other measurements.  I definitely think that it would be able to print something with enough strength to stand up in the engine bay.

@IncisionInd it's very doable! Friend was going to print one out but he never got around to it. I think the 90 bend would be the more difficult part to do because the space is so limited that if you print out a 90 elbow then put the rubber reducer on it to mate up to the throttle body, it would hit the coolant. Much easier to print out the straight pipe part with the barbs for attaching vent hoses and use a rubber reducing 90 elbow that will clear the coolant reservoir. I was so desperate was going to give all my info to many of the performance parts manufacturers for them to come up with something and then test it but none were interested.

When researching this I saw that all the parts are so readily available that you just need to put it together.

Hmmm i'll have to look into this because if i can make it i'll just upload the 3D model for people to use and ordering from thingiverse is pretty cheap for people that don't have a printer.

Also, because i see you posting about AFM and auto start stop, i just got a new Range AFM and I can tell you that this thing is awesome and you get the full 8 gears in V8.

Hey can you give me the range part/order number? I asked Range if they support the L8B and they said no! I don't think they know their product too well.

How did you get it to CA?

Yeah that is very strange... it says it on your own website you should know about it.

Well I'm in TX and so there shouldn't be any issues with that, but they do say they wont send to CA.  So you may need to ship somewhere else and forward.

What’s up guys, another 2018 Silverado 1500 E-Assist owner. Welp trucks great she got an 8” lift and 35s. But I’m in the market for an intake, tuner, and exhaust. Seems like some of you are having tuner issues as well. Here to help if any is needed and please if you know of any air intake that will work lmk.

Yes it works on the E-Assist. The shifting does seem a little rougher but other than that it works fine.

For an intake to work you need to either relocated the coolant reservoir or modify the intake tube itself. I did it with a GMPP and it works fine.

What is the part number for the GMPP you went with? It looks like there are three different part numbers for (what appears to be) the same thing at GM Parts Store. 84533096, 84794978, and 84794977. All list the hybrid as compatible.

Hi,

I got 84089441 which now has been replaced by 84533096.

The intake pipe will hit the coolant reservoir. You will need to move it or modify the pipe so not a direct fit.

That's awesome, thank you for sharing the video. That quick video has more visual information on this topic than I've seen around here! How necessary is the catch can? Aren't the GMPP intakes oil-less therefor not putting excess oil into the pistons that would need to be removed?

When I had my 2018 Silverado hybrid, I just moved the coolant tank over a inch or 2 to the driver side and installed the S&B intake.

This would be the way to go. I just wanted to make things harder for myself.
