Looking for the best 3/5 Lowering kit set up for 2017 Crew Cab.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting here and appreciate all of the knowledge that is shared throughout this forum.  I'm interested in lowering my 17' Silverado Crew cab with a 3/5 drop on 22's.

My current set up is just a leveling kit with 33's and 20in wheels.  I purchased it from the dealer with this current set up.  It's a 2WD.  I was planning on making it a Pre-Runner, but my mind can't stray away from sport trucks.  The only mods I have done are the skid plate, 50. cal antenna, Carven and the tint.  Planning on doing some interior changes and maybe some forced induction, but i want to get the suspension finalized first.

Here is my question: Whats the best static drop set up out there?

I have read that INEZ, and DJM have issues with limiting the turning radius.  I am ignorant as to wether those issues have been fixed.  Im looking at the McGauphys Lowering kit for the Stamped Steel or  Aluminum Factory Control Arms Part #34270.

What are your opinions and if you have the McGauphys set up, how do you like it?  Do you have any turning radius issues?

Thank you for your time everyone.

- Drew

I bought the Mcgaughys 34270 last November and couldn't be happier with it. I'm at 3/6 on a 2016 Silverado RC and have no turning radius issues, still can do u-turns with no problem

SirenRed,  How do you like the quality of the shocks that came with the kit?  Do you have any pics?
I have no complaints yet. The truck rides like stock if not better.
