04GMC8100HD
That is pretty impressive, but I just happen to see a friend of mine in his 03 2500HD ext cad with the Dmax/Ally run 8.17 in the 1/8, that's like 12.7 in the 1/4, and he's waiting on larger injectors and a larger turbo. So 11's shouldn't be a problem. Randy

Truckman031
Nice trucks. I have seen some very fast Duramaxs though.
paul k
A person must really love their country to dump that much soot and pollution into the air for their own kids to breathe. Way to show your pride.
R Dogg 56
In the second video, it looks like the black truck jumps the gun, yet still gets the green light.......
bluenote
Go over to The Diesel Page and look under the Duramax forum for M. Tomac's 12.801 @ 103.72 ¼ mile thread and video. He's doing this with a single re-programmer, a more open airbox, a Flowmaster muffler, and NO OTHER engine mods. He has beefed up his Allison with an ATS kit. Once there are some proven high performance injectors and aftermarket turbos to add to the speed of a chipped Dmax, 12 seconds will be too slow to keep ahead of them. It should be interesting. I'm assuming this is at sea level? Here in the fresh colorado air you would be hard pressed to turn 13's with a Duramax/Cummins/Powerstroke with only thoose moods.......... HendyPhoto
That is REALLY some serious smoke. Makes me really want to own a Dodge or Ford diesel.... NOT!!!!!
chevy38fan
the cummins is a true I6 diesel, its gonna create some black smoke!
HendyPhoto
I am reminded of that every time I follow one onto the freeway , whether it has a load or not. Luckily my truck passes them VERY quickly. Those trucks should all have mandatory 10 foot high smoke stacks to get that %@#$ away from us! I would hate to have to clean that sh@% off the front of my boat or trailer.

Actually, Mr. Tomac is in Michigan, so I'd guess that these times are somewhere between between 600 and 1000 feet above sea level. I doubt any gasser with less than $1000 in engine mods would put down very good times in the thin air of Colorado either. The other vehicles these guys are dragging are at the same level, and I've seen some big trucks put some sporty cars to shame.

HendyPhoto
That's the great thing about the DMAX, they dont smoke (much). Ford and Dodge are the ones I am talking about.
